While we camped this summer, I worked on these knitted hats for all of Anne and Jack's little friends (7 boy hats and 6 girl hats).
Using the Knifty Knitter loom made these super fun and fast. No counting stitches or patterns. You can literally make a small hat in one movie sitting. You can get these looms at most craft stores. They are actually great for young hands too. My friend's 5-year-old made some hats for her friends.
For the girl hats, I added a fabric flower. (See here for flower-making instructions).

Janna, we absolutely LOVE the hats. Ava wore hers again today. I can't believe all the handmade stuff you do/did. And I LOVE my prints you made for me. They are hanging in my kitchen in a special place of honor. They make my kitchen soooo homey. Thank you thank you thank you. Love you much.

I've seen those looms at Wal-Mart (that's the BIG store in my town here in Wisconsin!). Do you need all fo the loom sizes to make one hat? Is each loom size a different hat? I'm intrigued, and if they are as easy as you (and others) say they are, then I'm up for the challenge!

Those are fantastic! I seem to be incapable of learning to knit with two needles but this looks like something I could do. I checked out their website and they even have instructions for a hat online. Have you made any hats for adults? I'm just curious what size loom you used if you did. I would love to make a couple of these for my hubby. He is always cold!
