When you are 9 months pregnant...there is not a whole lot you can do about your body. It is what it is. For me that means I'm at least an extra 40 pounds. That's right, friends. I'm not one of those cute little ladies that gains just 15 pounds...the ones who don't look pregnant from behind and they turn around and just have a little basketball on their front.
Now, I'm not bitter. Envious, yes, but not bitter. Because let's face it: As a woman in American this is the only time in your life you can pack on the pounds and no one raises an eyebrow. If you ask for an extra scoop at Baskin Robbins, the other customers smile and think it's cute, even encourage, "You deserve it.." Let's be honest, if you weren't pregnant, they'd probably be thinking, "You need to be getting the sugar-free frozen yogurt, lady. Or, why are you eating ice cream?!"
So, fellow pregos, I say, "Enjoy yourselves!" Now... that's not to say there shouldn't be some limits...and there will be work ahead for me to kick the baby weight. But at 38 weeks hitting the treadmill is not on schedule for this week.
But while there isn't a whole lot I can do about the size of my body at this point, there are some things, I've done over the last couple of days to feel cute at this stage of pregnancy. Here is my list:
1. Get a tan.
2. Get a great haircut.
3. Get a pedicure.
4. Get a manicure.
5. Wax your eyebrows. I do my own using this product. Sorry I didn't get a good pic of my brows.
