This class will combine SEW many of my “loves.” There will be delicious food, practical teaching and application, laughter and thoughtful details that will make this more than just a class. It is a day-long retreat! And you will go home with three fabulous projects that YOU made!
DATE: Saturday, October 8 (note date change from Aug. 27)
TIME: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
LOCATION: My home in Arvada, Colo.
INCLUDES: A full day of instruction and hands-on application, a binder of instruction material and patterns, and deliciously prepared food.
WHO IS THE CLASS FOR?: Women who want to learn to sew. Or those who learned years ago and need a refresher.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: Basic sewing terminology and skills. Basic operation of a sewing machine. How to follow a pattern, how to make a button hole, how to make a ruffle etc.
WHAT WILL WE MAKE: We will make three projects that are yours to take home.
A tote bag
A rice pillow (to warm/cool)
WHAT TO BRING: You will need to bring fabric and some sewing tools. A supply list will be provided once you are registered.
SEWING MACHINE: You do not have to own a sewing machine to take this class! But if you do own one, bring it, or borrow from a friend! If you are unable to bring one, I will provide one for you. I'll teach you how to show that thing who's boss!
CLASS SIZE: The class size will be limited to 8 attendees. If you do cannot attend the August class, an October class will be offered (date to be announced).
