While gathering heirlooms for my grandfather's 90th birthday celebration, we came across this little peachy blouse that was embroidered by grandmother when she was 19. Isn't it beautiful?
Here's the story: My grandmother had all her school friends and family members sign the shirt and then embroidered over each name. Incredible. It's kind of an embroidered yearbook, if you will.
Each time I look at these photos, it inspires me to get out my needle and get to work.
Ooo! I know! Have everyone sign a table cloth each year you do FF. Then you can embroidered the names throughout the years.
I picked up my embroidery a few nights ago and have been back at workinng on Christmas gifts.
