"He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification." Romans 4:25
Today, I reminded that the path to the cross was paved by my sins. Tomorrow, I will put these rocks in the tomb...to once again die...with Christ.

Today is Maundy Thursday—the day we celebrate the last supper. Also the night Jesus was taken into custody by the Roman Guards.
The
term Maundy comes from the Latin word mandatum (from
which we get our English word mandate). The
term is usually translated "commandment," from John's
account of this Thursday night. After they had finished the meal,
Jesus taught his disciples a "new" commandment that
was not really new...
(John
13:34-35): A new commandment I give to you, that you love one
another; even as I have loved you, you also ought to love one
another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you
have love for one another.
Many participate in communion on this day and go to special church services. I suggest beginning to read sections of the Easter story with your children. I suggest beginning with Matthew 26:17-75. Act it out. Wash your child's feet, telling them how much you love them, how they are special. Pray a blessing over them.
