For us, Memorial Day marks the start of camping season. We actually won't be roughing it this weekend since we are going to a cabin, but in honor of the start of season, I'll be posting some camp activities and recipes for the next few days.

Today, I will start with one of our favorite camping things--Pie Irons!
You can purchase pie irons at most stores that sell camping supplies, but the ones that are made with cast iron work the best in the long haul.

Two of our favorites are coney dogs (chili sauce, cut up hot dogs and cheese) and Chicken Pot Pie (Cream of chicken soup, peas, carrots and cut up chicken pieces)
