This is Harold. He is our 40-year-old Christmas tree inherited from my in-laws. I love him. But he has also let me down....read the full story here and here.
But this year, he is standing sturdy and proud for the first time in new home. I have always wanted a front bay window in which to display him. This year that dream was realized.

How beautiful! I had to go back and read the story of Harold - oh my goodness, that would have been so hard to have all those ornaments break. I understand the heartache: knowing that they're just things, but treasuring them all the same.
It's so funny to me that you've named your tree Harold, because that's my dad's name! I don't think I've ever heard of anyone naming their Christmas tree before. ;-)
