Thanks for being transparent about the depression. I have had bouts with it, am on meds that keep me very stable and probably as a result work in a psych ward as a professional counselor with lots of very depressed people. Good for you for being brave, getting help, wanting to talk about it. There is such a stigma in and out of church about mental illness and meds, even counseling. Bless you in your pursuit of healing and whole ness!

I loved reading this, Janna! I totally forgot that you worked at House of Java (that would have been my dream job). Also so awesome that you've written a children's book....and I love your hair long like that! Happy birthday!

You? A messy cook? I didn't know!! :-)

I love this list, Janna. I've been lurking on your blog for the past year or so since I followed a link from Kristen's blog to yours. I had to smile at several things on you list, especially when I realized I was wearing my navy blue necklace just like the one pictured in #6.

And as to #10, my current memory verse is Psalm 37:23-24 "The steps of a man are established by the LORD, and HE DELIGHTS in his way. When he falls, he is not hurled headlong, Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand. (NAS)

Hope you have a truly amazing birthday. God bless.

Happy, happy birthday Janna! Love this list and learning all these little interesting tidbits about you. Love your long hair; you don't look much different now. Kudos to you for writing a children's book; I hope that you find your illustrator and get it published.

May all of your wishes come true. May God bless you on your special day.

Happy Birthday, Janna.
This was FUN!
I love your long hair and also your red boots.
Love your honesty about depression. I've struggled off and on with it for years...and thankfully right now I'm unmedicated and in a good place. I always keep a watchful eye on those dark edges that creep in from time to time and I know my triggers and am when to seek help if needed. Curious to read more about your journey.

I totally forgot to wish you a happy birthday tonight! Happy Birthday!! I love your red boots and your long, long hair.

My 7yo knows that if she plays with my hair that she can talk me into staying in her room longer at bedtime, resulting in a later bedtime. :)

These lists are fun. I'll have to remember to do one for my next birthday. (Number 36 later this year - how can that be?!)

I loved your list!! What a great idea! Thanks for sharing!

Happy Birthday, friend! I did learn some new things about you.
Next time I need to bring you a meal... Ill make breakfast-Golden Graham's! Who knew!
I laughed so hard about your lice presentation. I'm sure you were so serious about it and knowledgeable!

Thanks for sharing more fun facts that make you so unique.
You are a rare gem, Janna... And a treasure to all who know you. I'm blessed to be your friend "in real life." Thanks for continuing to use your gifts, talents, creativity and sweet spirit to draw our children and ourselves closer to our Father. May The Lord bless and refresh you as you have poured into others. Paula Romer

What can a father say except I am so proud of who you are and that I love you very much.

I thought I was the only one who still watches White Christmas year round! It's my favorite movie too. Maybe we could do a movie night in our backyards this summer!

Happy late Birthday to YOU!!! I hope it was a good one. Love the boots and OH MY GOODNESS LOVE your hair! I have been following your blog for a couple of years and man has your hair grown. Looks great! I look forward to you blogging more. Love the recent pictures of Beth. Thinking and praying for you.
