Every Sunday night, we have a family movie night. These are our favorites. While we do watch animated movies, they aren't my favorite to watch. These are films the whole family will enjoy. Be sure to leave a comment if you have more suggestions.

The Man From Snowy River Boys AND girls love this classic horse movie. Suspenseful riding scenes in the outback.
The Princess Bride A classic. Fire swamp can be a bit scary, but you can fast forward if your sprouts are sensitive.
Kit Kittredge An American Girl Great soundtrack, lots of stars in this one--Julia Ormond, Joan Cusack. This is, by far, our favorite American Girl movie.
Nancy Drew Healthy, wholesome and fun. Great clothes and soundtrack, too.
The Best Christmas Pagent Ever Love the book, love the movie.
Miracle on 34th Street (both original and remake are great)
The Quiet Man John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara star in this Irish tale--great to watch on St. Patrick's Day.
Nanny McFee The colorful, magical set and costumes make this a feast for the eyes.
Nanny McFee Returns Flying pigs? Uhh, YES please! Super funny.
The 10 Commandments Long but good to do over a few nights. Excellent way to teach your kids about Passover.
Charolotte's Web A classic!

Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken Another great horse-y movie.
Pollyanna Her clothing is so lovely. Hayley Mills as her best.
Swiss Family Robinson A classic, seriously my ALL time favorite Disney movie. Also may explain my obsession with tree house.
Mary Poppins Okay, I know I said Swiss Family was my favorite, but HELLO Mary Poppins! I could watch this once a day.
The North Avenue Irregulars I laugh out loud every time I watch with them.
The Moon-Spinners Mystery set in Crete, starring the lovely Hayley Mills
Old Yeller Not as sad as you might remember. Jack LUVS him some Ol' Yellar.
Savage Sam The sequel to Old Yeller, adventure with Indians, not as great as the first, but a still a great boy movie.
No Deposit, No Return How can you go wrong with Don Knotts? Hilarious.
Gus We love this football-playing donkey. Don Knotts shows up again- Wahoo!
Yellowstone Cubs This is a short one (only 45 mins), but truly one our favorites. Fun one to watch before you go camping.
Honey I Shrunk the Kids This is a great one to watch outside, with the movie projected on a sheet.
Five Mile Creek Growing up we watched this series over months of Fridays. Anne and I took a weekend and watched them in a weekend marathon. This one is hard to find. Try your library.
Napolean and Samantha Your boys will love the motorcycle chase scene. Jodie Foster as a young, young little thing. And Michael Douglas with his groovy hair.
The Ugly Dachshund This a dog-gone great one.
Follow Me, boys! A heartwarming story about an troop of scouts and their troop leader.
